Today is the day!!! Actually today has been many life changing days for me over the past 2 years.
First and foremost it’s my birthday! I’ve always been a “one of a kind” and I’ve learned to celebrate all that makes me Debbie Brooks.
Today is also the day 1 year ago I’ve said goodbye to my dearest Aunt Mickie, who shaped my life. Loss, grief and care-taking change you in ways you can never fully articulate.
Gwyneth Paltrow called it conscious uncoupling”, I’ve chosen the “aggravated amnesia” label for my recent Facebook relationship status change lol. One day soon I’ll write the New York Times Best Seller about this part of my journey, but for now I will just say I’ve missed “me more”. (Thank you Kelsea Ballerini, for your awesome girl power anthem)
Today is a day of exciting new beginnings for me, my daughter and my brand! It’s been a character building last couple years. Seriously I’ve built so much character I should be nominated for an Oscar at this point, lol! I lift my head high, put my shoulders back and see the world around me with a new perspective. I have assembled an incredible new team that is just the spark I needed to start a wildfire of creativity!!!
Today is my birthday, the birth of my new life and the rebirth of my brand! My name is Debbie Brooks and I’M BACK BABY!!!
I’ve mourned the passing of my mom & Escaped Hospice with my dad & nurtured his recovery.
Today I received the final paperwork putting the Nail in the coffin of that chapter of my life.
